POPS Australia

POPS Australia is a member of the International Parachutists Over Phorty Society founded in the USA in 1966.

The Australian Chapter was established in 1981 when, according to Bernie Shaw, Claude Gillard asked him “to get it going downunder”. The 1st World POPS Meet was hosted by POPS Downunder as it was then called, and held at the Ettamogah Pub, near Albury in New South Wales.

Everyone is welcome at POPS Australia Events — age is not an issue (except in competition events and record attempts where POPS Membership — any country — is necessary).
